Looking and feeling a little shell shocked.
Training is in full swing for Kokoro Camp in July this year!
Drew and I have been doing some longer runs with our weight vests on....10 kilometres on Sunday ( we parked in Bunnings car park and ran home through the bush, we put the vests on in the car park and had some strange looks...we realised later it probably looked like we were strapping bombs to ourselves and heading into Bunnings ) not something to joke about...but I could see the funny side of it too!
This photo was after this mornings training...6.5 kilometre Run and then a circuit of 2 pull-ups, 5 pushups, 10 air squats, 30 rounds!!
We have to complete the CrossFit workout Murph in Kokoro....most likely more than once...it consists of a 1.6 kilometre run, 100 pull-ups, 200 pushups, 300 air squats, 1.6 kilometre run with a time limit of 75 min! I aim to do it in an hour. Also done fatigued! That’s one small component of the 50 hour training!
While pushing physically I’m also pushing mentally....a lot of good self talk, a lot of smiles even when it feels fucking hard!
You can be prepared physically, but if you don’t have the right mindset....that’s what will trip you up!!
